Decoying
 
The idea behind decoying is just the concept of distracting fire of tanks or defenses so your assets are not harmed. Fortresses provide excellent pre-decoying device, and by pre-decoying I mean setting up decoys before the enemy is near. Requiring a border space like structures, keeping them 1-3 squares apart prevents the opponent from building fortresses in between. Bunkers although are better for the immediate in-battle usage, when fast decoying is needed.

Knowing how to decoy fast isn't anything that can be taught, its just something you have to adjust yourself for, but it can commonly decide win or loss in a battle. when attacking some decoys, build bunkers in front and in between the opponents decoys, that way you can safely shoot his decoys while he, instead of your units, will be attacking the decoys. Even more strategically important is being able to be ready for making decoys, if you and your opponent are just fighting over a decoy war, fortresses and bunkers everywhere, when you loose or destroy decoys, you got to be ready to build some in its place, keeping your opponent occupied with replacement decoys, or even pushing him back when you take over the places his decoys were.

Never drive into decoys, dont even drive between your own if your opponent is waiting for you, having tanks spread out is very dangerous and makes you vulnerable. The only exception would be if your opponent had nothing to protect the decoys with, then its very smart to take your tanks and just drive right in and destroy as many decoys you can before your opponent comes with reinforcements. If you successfully destroy a lot of decoys and still have time, feel free to get your trucks into action and build your own decoys where his were.

If decoys are being protected by anything, and you just have to destroy them, decoy a little ways away and work closer, building pieces of defense in between the decoys, and keeping tanks close by. Most importantly take your time when decoying, and be ready for anything. Also using Bunker Busters or artillery are great methods of easily eliminating decoys.
